O.K. So how does this whole thing work?
Scheduling
When you schedule your appointment the session fees are due. We accept MasterCard, Visa as well as your personal checks. Obviously we would prefer a personal check so if you would like to choose this option, just let us know at the time you are scheduling your session.
Life happens. You may wake up the day of your scheduled session and have the bubonic plague. As a father of two I know first hand how quickly germs spread. No problem. I prefer to have 48 hour notice to change a session time but sometimes that just isn’t possible. You do get a “Get Out of Jail Free” card. You can change the session time without the 48 hour notice once. After that your session fees are non-refundable.
Consultation
For new clients I like to have either a Phone Consultation or an in studio consultation a few days prior to the actual session. We’ll spend a few minutes getting to know each other and it’s also a chance for me to get an idea for what you will be using your images for. Do you want a printed memory book, a wall collection or maybe you want it all.
I will also go over the package pricing, process and normal turnaround for print orders. This way you know exactly when to expect your treasures.
The Session
If we are shooting in the studio, you will come to Creekside and enjoy Free Parking in the Garage. If we have an onsite or in home session scheduled, I will meet you there. During the consultation, you will get a card with all of the session information and all of my contact information so that we can find each other the day of the shoot.
I will give you a quick run down on how I want the shoot to flow and see if you have any special requests. Spontaneity completely ROCKS… So if we are shooting in the Arena District and there is a Hot Air Balloon taking off. We can get that worked into your shots.
After the Session
After the session I take the images back to my office and work my magic. We will schedule a Review/Order Appointment which happens in studio only and is roughly a week or so after the photo session. I will project your images on the wall at about 15 feet by 15 feet. I will show you all of the images from your session a handful of what I call “Photographers Choice” images. These are images that I have hand picked from the session and that I have fully retouched. You are not obligated in any way to choose these images but my experience shows a majority of my clients go with the Photographers Choice images.
Come to the Review/Order Appointment ready to pick the images for your products. If you need to bring the significant other to make sure you are both on the same page, by all means bring them in! We will go through the products you have chosen as well as the images for each and your order is placed! Your delivery date will depend on which products you have chosen but I like to turn around orders as soon as possible. We’re talking weeks not months.
Referral Program
Do you have friends? Will you show them your images? When you pickup your final order, I will include a short stack of my referral cards. These cards will have YOUR name on them and you can give them out to your friends. Each new client that comes to my studio and books a session will earn you $50 in print credit to be used toward your print order from your next session.
Referrals are the way I have built my business and you are the most valuable asset that I have. To show my appreciation I am not putting a cap on the amount of print credit you are able to earn! Refer 5 friends and you could be up to $250 in print credit! How’s that for a big Thank You!
